The Association of Friends of Pyrgi “Ainos” with the assistance of the Ionian Islands Region, the Municipality of Sami, Community of Pyrgi and the Tourism Committee of the Municipality of Argostoli, organise ”Ainos Mountain Marathon” and the 10km race.
The mountain "Ainos Monte Nero" (for the Venetians) in Kefalonia, hosts the runners of the Ainos Mountain Marathon on September 26, 2021. The distance is 42km, with a cumulative positive altitude of 2.5 thousand meters.
The paths of Ainos that the race will cross extend to the whole mountain, cross the entire ridge with stunning views of the surrounding islands and the mountains of Central Greece and the Peloponnese.
The race is aimed at experienced mountain runners as it includes technical trails and demanding terrain.

Preparation
The secretariat will be open on the Saturday before the Marathon. On Sunday morning the secretariat will be open from 6.00 am. up to 15 minutes before start. Departure of athletes by coach of the event for the start of the Ainos Mountain Marathon 42km race.

Start of the Ainos Mountain Marathon 42km from the village Pyrgi in the square of the church of Agios Pantos of the settlement Harakti.

The athletes - participants will be moved by bus of the organization of the Marathon to the starting point of the race Ainos Mountain Marathon 42km at 08:30 am from Poros and at 09:00 am from Pyrgi or with their own cars for those who want to follow.

Ο Σύλλογος Απανταχού φίλων του Πυργιού "ο Αίνος", με την αρωγή της Περιφέρειας Ιονίων Νήσων και την συνδρομή του Δήμου Σάμης, της Κοινότητας Πυργίου, του φορέα Αίνου και της Τουριστικής Επιτροπής του Δήμου Αργοστολίου, οργανώνει τον ορεινό μαραθώνιο "Ainos Mountain Marathon".
Το βουνό “Ainos Monte Nero” (για τους Ενετούς) στην Κεφαλονιά, φιλοξενεί τους δρομείς του Ainos Mountain Marathon στις 26 Σεπτεμβρίου 2021. Η απόσταση είναι 42χλμ, με αθροιστική θετική υψομετρική 2,5 χιλιάδων μέτρων.
Τα μονοπάτια του Αίνου που θα διέλθει ο αγώνας επεκτείνονται σε όλο το βουνό διασχίζουν ολόκληρη την κορυφογραμμή με εκπληκτική θέα των γύρω νησιών και των βουνών της Στερεάς Ελλάδος και Πελοποννήσου.
Ο αγώνας απευθύνεται σε έμπειρους δρομείς βουνού καθώς περιλαμβάνει τεχνικά μονοπάτια και απαιτητικό ανάγλυφο.

Προετοιμασία
Η γραμματεία θα λειτουργήσει το Σάββατο πριν το αγώνα. Την Κυριακή το πρωί η γραμματεία θα λειτουργεί από τις 6.00 π.μ. μέχρι 15 λεπτά πριν την εκκίνηση. Αναχώρηση αθλητών με πούλμαν της διοργάνωσης για την εκκίνηση του αγώνα Ainos Mountain Marathon 42km.
